Services

Programs to match all of our patient’s needs.

At QBH, we know how important it is to ensure you’re getting the proper treatment, depending on what personal or narcotic issues are troubling you. We have designed a number of sufficient and life-changing programs that are proven to be effective and long-lasting. All of our patients will meet with a counselor prior to committing to us to go over the different services we offer. From there, we will choose which programs we believe you will benefit most from. Take a look below to get an idea of what QBH can offer you and your loved ones.

Services for Addicts

Medical Services

  • Dual Diagnosis

Dual diagnosis, also known as co-occurring disorder, is when a person is suffering from substance abuse and a simultaneous mood disorder such as depression, bipolar, panic or anxiety disorders. The most effective form of treatment for these conditions is treating both of the conditions at the same time.

  • Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on the patient’s thought process. CBT helps to strengthen your thought process so that self-doubt no longer exists. We also use Motivation Enhanced Therapy (MET) in conjunction with CBT to move our patients along a path of recovery known as stages of behavioral change.

  • Insurance

We accept most insurances and participate in government programs. For more information regarding program fees, insurances, governmental assistance, grants, treatment duration, etc., please call us. We also accept major credit cards such as Visa, Master Card, Discover Card and American Express. Direct payments are also accepted.

  • Electronic Medical Records

The best way to implement safety and care for our patients is by having computerized orders and a medication scanning system that electronically checks to make sure the correct patient is receiving the correct medical care. All medical records are saved on a web-based server so that medical records are secured and cannot be misplaced.

  • Medical care

Our medical staff will work closely with your Primary Care Physician (PCP) while you’re in treatment to ensure optimum care. If you do not have a PCP, you may be referred to the local health department or to the “Health care for the Homeless” known as Advantage Health Care — a local agency that serves the uninsured.

  • Dental Care

QBH has collaborative agreements with various dental clinics where our medical staff will refer you to should you require dental services. We know how important dental care is to improving your overall health, and to improving the way our patients feel about themselves. We want to make our patients feel healthy and confident.

Wellness Facility

  • Empowerment

Most chemically dependent people and those with mental disorders want to feel strong and empowered. Other programs teach surrender and powerlessness as a way of life. Our treatment includes empowering the client and enabling them with strength to make good healthy choices in their lives even after they leave us.

  • Women’s Specialty

We realize that women have special needs and design programs for that very purpose. At QBH, we ensure that the special needs of women are met by providing all women recovery groups. By enabling specialty services, we’ve noticed that women feel safer and are more eager in successfully completing the programs.

  • Support Group for PTSD

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is an anxiety disorder that can occur following an experience or witnessing a traumatic event. The support group is led by a mental health professional and involves groups of 4-12 people with similar issues to talk about. Talking to other survivors of trauma can be a helpful step in your recovery.

  • NA/AA meetings

In affiliation with the Hospital and Institutions Department of Narcotics Anonymous and in association with Alcoholics Anonymous, QBH hosts closed meetings at both of our locations. QBH also transports patients to various other locations for support group meetings. We do everything in our power to assist you in recovery.

  • Spiritual Activities

We value spirituality as a major component in the recovery process. We have arrangements with various groups that provide services to our patients. Now that you have decided to make a change, you have taken an important step towards full recovery. We realize how religious and spiritual beliefs can help you in this process.

Personal Care

  • Transportation

Transportation is provided for various activities, medical and dental appointments and other scheduled events. We want to do our part in assisting you to proper and complete recovery. Our drivers are fully licensed, and our transportation vehicles are comfortable, safe and fully-insured. We’ll take care of you every step of the way.

  • Shopping

QBH will transport residential patients to various supermarkets to purchase permitted items that QBH does not supply, for personal use while in treatment. We will help you create a list and handle all the shopping, so you can avoid any discomfort or stress. All various shopping trips will be supervised by QBH employees.

  • Laundry Facilities

All programs come with access to our free laundry facility. Detox patients; however, may not do their personal laundry until they have transitioned into either the residential or outpatient program. Our staff members will take care of all of your belongings to ensure nothing is misplaced. All laundry facilities are monitored daily.

  • Recreational Services

QBH takes all the residential patients out for various recreational activities. You may bring your swimsuit and/or workout clothes if you choose to participate. We also go to Belle Isle Park for walks, groups and picnics. Fresh air can do wonders on your mind and spirit. We know it’s important for our patients to enjoy these delights.

  • Special Dietary Needs

To respect the cultural and religious beliefs of our patients, we provided customized food services. Upon request, we provide all Vegetarian, Kosher and Halal meals. Any dietary concerns or special requests will be reviewed with our dietician who will customize a meal plan for you; which, the kitchen staff will prepare.

  • Visitation

We encourage you to involve your family or friends who would be supportive to your recovery. Visitation is not allowed during detoxification. A list of requested visitors must be presented to your counselor for approval. Visits are scheduled by appointment only. We reserve the right to remove visitors if they become disruptive or threatening.

  • Limited English Proficiency

We translate our major consent forms and documents into four other languages. We employ clinicians who speak Spanish, Arabic, French, Polish, Hindi, Urdu, Cantonese, Mandarin, Tamil, Punjabi and Bengali. QBH also has a contract with “Language Line” that provides instant translation services in 140 other languages.
